Ever since The Godfather, there’s been no avoiding the Italian mafia in popular culture: mafiosi pop up everywhere from computer games to car insurance ads. And yet, many people are surprised to learn that the mafia are still active in Italy – and that there’s more than one. Amber’s talk covered 3 mafia organisations, the Camorra, based in Naples, the Cosa Nostra in Sicily and the ‘Ndrangheta based in Calabria.
